Allow Us To Introduce to You: the 'Prentice'ship

The 'Prentice'ship provides a paid training opportunity for post-graduates. Think of it as a private practice fellowship! The program is designed to build prentices’ practice and confidence so that by the end of their experience with us, prentices will be well on their way to a successfully launched practice.

The 'Prentice'ship includes approximately 15- 25 hours of clinical work, 1 hour of clinical supervision weekly as well as ongoing professional development support, and complimentary office space.  As a prentice, we work closely with you to insure a steady flow of patient referrals, and to help you develop your professional brand and clinical niche.  We provide the supervision, the professional development and the office space. You just bring your clinical skills and eagerness to grow!

All post graduate clinicians, pre or post-licensure, are eligible.  To learn more, please email Erin or Rachel at info@prenticedc.com. To apply, please send letter of interest and CV to Co-Directors, Rachel Miller, Psy.D., and Erin Peterson, Ph.D., at info@prenticedc.com.   We are currently accepting applications now for the 2023-2024 training year.  Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Testimonials

I have had the pleasure of working with some spectacular colleagues and supervisors over the years, and Erin and Rachel stand out for their warm support, diligence and mentorship.  They have been generous in sharing their clinical skills and business acumen and have cultivated a vibrant network of dynamic clinicians.  I’m honored to be a part of their community.
— Justine Lassman, Psy.D.
The Prentice program has been foundational in my learning and growth as a therapist in private practice. During my time training with Drs. Miller and Peterson, I felt both supported and challenged in equal measure. I also left the program with a solid understanding of the structure necessary to run a successful private practice, and a deepening of my clinical skills. Most importantly, I graduated the program with real and enduring professional connections in this community. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
— Elaina A. Vasserman-Stokes, Ph.D., LPC, PLLC
Joining the Prentice family was one of the best professional decisions I have ever made. The individual and collective support throughout the process of building your own practice was invaluable. Prentice offers a great opportunity to create a professional network and a springboard to a thriving practice. If you are debating about whether or not Prentice could work for you, take it from someone who has been through the process - go for it! This leap is well worth the reward!
